White Pine Trail Extension

The abandoned Norfolk/Southern railroad bed has been acquired by the DDA.  The rail bed runs from Fifth/Third Park through Comstock Park to Mill Creek Avenue.  

The rail bed is being converted into an extension of the White Pine Trail.  This exciting development will bring up to 20,000 trail users annually into Comstock Park.  The Comstock Park Trail will eventually connect with the Walker Trail system.

The trail extension provides additional parking and staging areas, and features a safe trail user design. The Comstock Park Trail will also feature lighting over the entire length of the trail.  Trail completion is scheduled for October 2008.
